Westcon signs distribution agreement with Menlo Security and CommScope

Westcon has signed a pan-European distribution agreement with Menlo Security.

Menlo Security provides a cloud-based isolation platform to protect organisations from cyber-attacks. Through its isolation architecture users are able block 100% of all malware – including exploits, ransomware and zero-day attacks. Menlo Security’s innovative technology separates users and networks from the public Internet through secure, low-latency connections to the web and SaaS applications.

Daniel Hurel, vice president of Westcon EMEA, cyber security & next gen solutions (NGS), Westcon said: “Onboarding Menlo Security’s solutions adds another string to our bow when it comes to offering our customers the best security platforms available on the market. We’re pleased to be able to help our partners across Europe strengthen their security offerings.

“With its isolation core that secures access to data and applications, Menlo Security’s platform is a real industry first. Being built in the cloud, specifically for the cloud, it strengthens our Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) offering – an area that we continue to develop in-line with remote worker requirements and cloud transformation. We are really pleased to have Menlo Security as part of our NGS portfolio, and are looking forward to helping grow its position within the European market.”

John Brown, Director of EMEA channels at Menlo Security said: “This new agreement with Westcon will be a great opportunity for us to develop our channel community and to continue expanding the businesses across Europe. Westcon’s NGS division combines the depth and breadth of reach you get from an extremely well-established global player with the agility and focus of a cutting-edge cloud-first distributor; with their detailed understanding of cyber security we are absolutely confident that the partnership with Westcon will be instrumental in achieving our growth targets in Europe.”

Westcon has has also signed a distribution agreement with CommScope, to expand its European reach for RUCKUS hardware, software and services.

CommScope’s RUCKUS products enable IT organisations to easily deploy, manage and grow complex networks that serve both IT and operational technology requirements. With fewer network elements to manage, RUCKUS networks simplify life for IT .

As the distributor grows its presence within Europe, Westcon’s resellers will have the ability to choose from the wide range of quality products that CommScope has to offer for their end customers. With a growing number of local distributors serving the market, Westcon’s global reach will allow it to serve both local resellers as well as global customers.

“Businesses have changed their operating models overnight and people expect connectivity to be there no matter if they are live-streaming events, working from home, playing games or connecting store employees,” said Ehab Kanary, vice president of enterprise for EMEA, CommScope.

“As leaders across education, healthcare, financial services and other industries innovate to improve customer experience their IT teams can tap into hardware and software that makes network management autonomous and more reliable.”

Marianne Nickenig, Vice President of Networking and Collaboration, EMEA, Westcon, said: “Businesses today are more reliant than ever on technology, and networks are becoming increasingly complex as a result. There is a growing demand for simplified network management, and RUCKUS products provide exactly that.

“We’ve had huge success with RUCKUS products across Europe so far, and we’re really pleased to be able to expand on our agreement with CommScope to bring further success to RUCKUS.”

The distribution agreement will start with key markets, including the United Kingdom, Netherlands and Germany.
