As we approach this year’s PCR Boot Camp conference and expo, event speaker and Westcoast MD Alex Tatham reflects on the changes in the channel.
“No longer are distributors merely a credit line and a warehouse, they are offering ranges of services and encouraging vendors to adopt consumption models for enterprise hardware and monthly billing for software,” Tatham told PCR.
“Microsoft are building a new datacentre in Sheffield and are predicted to be the largest global storage vendor by 2018.
“These are big changes in a market that evolves quickly anyway,” he added.

Questions will be put forward from the crowd to the four execs about issues surrounding IT and tech distribution in this no-holds barred Q&A session.
PCR launched the Distie Question Time panel session at 2015’s PCR Boot Camp North, where Tatham disagreed with the other distie exec on the panel about price feeds. The session proved so successful, that we are now bringing it to a larger audience at The Emirates Stadium on May 18th.
