AntiLeaks claims responsibility for WikiLeaks attack
A group calling itself AntiLeaks has claimed responsibility for a major DDoS attack on the WikiLeaks website.
“You can call me DietPepsi. I am the leader of AntiLeaks. We are not doing this to call attention to ourselves. We are young adults, citizens of the United States of America and are deeply concerned about the recent developments with Julian Assange and his attempt at asylum in Ecuador,” tweeted AntiLeaks self-proclaimed leader ‘Diet Pepsi’.
“Assange is the head of a new breed of terrorist. We are doing this as a protest against his attempt to escape justice into Ecuador. This would be a catalyst for many more like him to rise up in his place. We will not stop and they will not stop us.”
Crackle comes to Windows Phone
Video streaming service Crackle will now be available from Market Place. The free app is ad-supported and allows user access to film and TV shows.
The app currently works in the US, Canada, UK and Autralia, and streams high quality videos via 3G/4G or Wi-Fi.
Users can build and manage their Watchlist for viewing on the app itself of online at Crakle.com.
Crysis 3 tech trailer
CryTek has unveiled a video, which highlights Crysis 3’s graphical effects, created using CryEngine 3.
Due for release in February 2013, Crysis 3 sees Prophet discovering that New York has been encased in a ‘Nanodome’ by the Cell Corporation.
App.net reaches $500k funding goal with two days to spare
Ad-free Twitter clone App.net has reached its funding goal with over 7,500 backers.
Almost 6,000 people used the campaign to pre-pay $50 for the annual App.net membership. Over 50 backers parted with $1,000 for access to the service’s developer tools, phone support and a personal meeting with creator Dalton Caldwell.
App.net promises to give users total control over their data. It intends to support 3rd-party developers making a living.
