Service provider promises clarity and no-nonsense advice

Virgin Media launches cloud services

Virgin Media Business has today launched a new cloud services and virtualisation portfolio.

Aiming to bring a easy-to-use and jargon free service to customers, Virgin has spearheaded the launch with the Virtual Private Data Centre, which is designed to offer powerful virtual computing to businesses of all sizes.

The service will allow IT manager to test and develop apps without have to invest in hardware or office space, or to create an e-commerce platform.

“Organisations are craving some clarity and no-nonsense advice,” said the managing director of Virgin Media Business, Mark Heraghty.

“Providing easy-to-use, simple cloud services that do exactly what they say they’ll do, really well, is a breath of fresh air. Most are already signed up to the benefits of the cloud, but constant jargon and complicated advice have created a real barrier to entry. Today, we’re launching a cloud product and a market strategy that’s got all the right ingredients. We’re backing this up with the largest nationwide fibre-optic network, and the straightforward advice and support everyone expects from a Virgin company.”
