RepKnight launches channel partner programme for dark web monitoring

The dark web has become a growing concern for security firm and governments alike, but luckily for the Channel, dark web monitoring specialist RepKnight has today launched its channel partner programme, supporting VARs, SIs and MSPs across the UK and Europe.

The programme allows certified partners to resell RepKnight’s cloud-hosted BreachAlert SaaS platform, a comprehensive dark web monitoring and data breach detection application that helps businesses demonstrate compliance with the upcoming GDPR regulations.

BreachAlert looks for corporate data being posted on the Dark Web, and many other paste and dump sites used by cybercriminals. The company says that the platform works like a burglar alarm – alerting customers in real time as soon as their data appears on the Dark Web. BreachAlert requires no on-site installation, and can be configured by customers in minutes.

Michael Koufopoulos, RepKnight’s channel director, EMEA, said: “It’s no longer sufficient to protect the perimeter of your company – you need to be looking for your data outside the firewall as well. BreachAlert is an ideal product for channel partners because of its broad applicability.

“BreachAlert is the first dark web monitoring SaaS platform to be made available through a structured channel program. We see it being a great upsell alongside other security products within a partner portfolio because it’s easy to demonstrate, is competitively priced, and customers can evaluate it in less than 30 minutes.”

Customers can deploy the BreachAlert SaaS platform quickly as a standalone web application with email or SMS alerting – ideal for small and mid-sized organisations – or integrate it with SIEM and ITSM platforms as part of a Security Operations Centre.

As well as providing early warning of a possible breach of corporate data, BreachAlert also detects staff emails and passwords posted online as a result of breaches from third-party websites – an increasingly common occurrence, and a significant threat vector for phishing and credential stuffing attacks on the corporate network.

Around 75 per cent of cyberattacks use compromised credentials, according to Verizon, and on average, most European businesses take 450 days to spot a data breach, according to FireEye.

RepKnight’s multi-tiered partner program comes with sales, marketing and technical support, alongside a number of incentives and benefits. The program is supported by the RepKnight Academy, a network of online and classroom instructor-led training and certification that provides partners with the skills and confidence they need to sell and support RepKnight’s products effectively.

Resellers and MSPs interested in becoming a RepKnight partner should email partner-support@repknight.com.
