If you already have the components you need, and just want to pre-order a PS VR headset, you’ll have to wait until March 29th for the PlayStation VR Core option to become available. The headset alone will cost $399.

There was some confusion at first, where it appeared Sony said there would be no option to pre-order just the headset on its own, but it the firm has since released details about the Core option on the PlayStation blog.

“Thanks to everyone for sharing their feedback on PlayStation VR pre-orders! It’s clear that there’s a lot of interest from many of you to secure the PlayStation VR core system, and I’m happy to share that we’ve decided to make it available for pre-order on Tuesday, March 29, at 7:00 a.m. PT at participating retailers,” reads the blog.

The PS VR features a 5.7-inch OLED with 1920 x RGB x 1080 (960 x RGB x 1080 per eye). The headset also comes with a 100 degrees field of view, and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Sony CEO Andrew House revealed at GDC 2016 that the firm wants to make the VR experience accessible. He also revealed that the company chose a late lunch date to accommodate demand.

The headset will immediately work with the 36 million PS4 consoles across the globe, and Sony has signed on more than 230 development houses to create VR content.
