ISE 2019: New LED displays, Android 7 OS and touch-screen models from Philips PDS

Philips Professional Display Solutions (Philips PDS) has unveiled a host of new display models at ISE 2019.

Following the successful debut of a 110” prototype LED display at ISE 2018, Philips PDS

has been closely monitoring the development of this technology and believes that now is the optimal time for wider scale implementation.

Six new modular indoor LED products

Philips PDS is launching six new modular indoor LED products at ISE 2019. Customers can choose from a range of pitch sizes – from 1.2mm up to 4.8mm – and can select to purchase complete kits or individual panels and components to build their own custom configuration.

The 27BDL91XXL LED kit features a new 27” 16×9 tile, available in three pitch sizes of 1.2mm, 1.5mm or 1.9mm. FHD versions are available in 110”, 127” and 165” sizes, while UHD displays are available in 220”, 275” and 330”.

All Philips PDS LED kits are pre-configured to customers’ requirements and include: tiles, cables, cable management, cabinets, industry standard controllers and an edge finishing kit.

The second new LED 44BDL81XXL range, features a 44” 50cm x 100 tile, available to order in three pitch sizes – 2.8mm, 3.9mm and 4.8mm – all with a bezel free design and no visible lines between panels.

Both the 27” and 44” LED tiles feature A grade, gold wired LEDs to offer “extremely high colour consistency, excellent contrast and very high brightness, all delivered with exceptional uniformity”.

Android 7 OS extends throughout D-Line range

Offering faster, more secure connectivity, Android 7 has been integrated throughout the new D-Line range. This built-in Android OS promises “blazing performance and unrivalled flexibility”, enabling businesses with fast and seamless deployment of scheduled content.

65” 4K D-Line Display

Philips PDS will replace the existing FHD 65” D-Line display with a new 65” 4K model – 65BDL4150D – offering a higher quality 10-bit IPS panel with improved anti-reflective coating.

Together with Android 7 OS, this new display will feature a faster processor and increased memory to 4GB, with storage increased to 16GB.

T-Line range expands with three new touch screen models

Philips PDS has expanded its popular T-Line touch screen range of displays with three new models including, for the first time, a 24” touch display.

The introductory model in the touch screen range is the new 10” 10BDL4151T model, featuring a new HD panel with five touch points, a faster processor – with eight cores compared to previous models’ two cores – plus twice the memory and 8GB of storage. This faster processor also allows the 10” display to be powered by Android 7.

With an on-sale date to coincide with ISE, and sharing the same stylish, slim form factor with the 10” display, the 24” model 24BDL4151T offers a faster processor and 16GB storage, combined with the latest Android 7 OS.

Top of the T-Line, and also in a new size for the range, is the 86” display – 86BDL3012T – which replaces the previous 84” version.

The new model features a high-quality 4K, bright (410 Cd/M2) IPS panel with improved anti-glare/reflection performance, twenty IR touch points and a slimmer frame and narrower bezel.

A more accurate, flatter panel gives lower optical parallax for optimised viewing over a wide angle – ideal for corporate and educational markets – and allows closer connection between the LCD touch panel and the key control components inside, for more responsive touch operation.

Full network connectivity is included with RS232 and HDMI connections. The 86BDL3012T is also compatible with CMND, Philips PDS’ unique suite of content creation and remote management software solutions.

The 86BDL3012T can also be upgraded to harness the power of the Android OS via an optional module, running Android 7.

Q-Line range extended to bring additional choice

Philips PDS’ ever popular introductory Q-Line was upgraded to 4K and Android performance in 2018. New for ISE 2019 is a 55” 4K non-Android display – 55BDL3010Q – designed to bring additional options to the range. It is targeted at customers with a requirement for a very high-quality display to use with external media players or their own player solution and includes the company’s failover feature to ensure 100% uptime during operation.

Commenting on the new developments at ISE 2019, General Manager for EMEA & NA, Chris Colpaert, said: “The Philips Professional Display Solutions stand is an essential visit at ISE, especially for those wishing to see the latest technologies presented, not just in isolation, but as part of a highly integrated hardware/software solution, truly designed with vertical markets and customers’ needs front of mind.”

ISE 2019 Visitors can find the Philips PDS booth at stand 10-K170.
