This past Tuesday, Brigantia held a cybersecurity themed partner roadshow in London at Level39 of the iconic One Canada Square. Resellers and MSP attending varied in size from hundreds of million annual turnover businesses down to one or two micro MSPs.

The meeting room was packed when Brigantia managing director Martin Wright updated partners on the changes within the business during 2016. Partners were told about the refocusing of Brigantia away from the old rebate driven business model to an all-new hybrid wholesale distribution and subscription partner business.

The speakers from partner vendors that then followed outlined the recurring revenue products and services now available for purchasing through the Brigantia wholesale distribution arm on 30-day credit terms.

Bitdefender explained the advantages to selling their GravityZone MSP service and Andrei Ionescu thanked those present for the support already shown by Brigantia partners. Mike Foreman, formerly of AVG, showed the new NURO instant messenger service. Southern Communications were represented by CTO Matt Wring who gave the audience a high-energy presentation on secure connectivity and communications. He also updated those present on the upgrades to the Brigantia ISP4 portal that drives the Brigantia wholesale broadband and leased lines offering. Heimdal Security’s Alan Case scared the audience to death about the dangers of ransomware and other cyberthreats, convincing many to sign up to offer the Heimdal product to their SMB, corporate and public sector customer bases.

After a break Troy Cheeseman entertained all with his presentation about Data Deposit Box being the longest established and largest hybrid local and cloud backup solution provider that nobody has ever heard about. He explained how they were originally an OEM provider and explained where partners would have come across them before, impressing the audience with the depth of Data Deposit Box's software offering and the hybrid service now on offer. It was made clear that Data Deposit Box, Brigantia and participating partners will have a market disrupting hybrid local and cloud storage solution for the UK and Ireland in 2017.

The final talk of the day came from Brigantia’s young sales manager Angus Shaw. He alluded to some new vendors that Brigantia will be promoting in 2017 including ISL Online for remote support and access, Passportal for military grade secure password management and Defenx for both low cost mobile security and their cloud storage and Synology NAS hybrid application. All three vendors will be running training webinars for partners in the first and second quarters of next year. Finally, Shaw outlined plans to further roll out the already popular Brigantia digital marketing services for partners at a local level. This service is driven through Brigantia’s Belgian vendor partner Flexmail. Local events will also be held utilising the local golf courses, hotels and other facilities available as part of the revitalised Brigantia Partner Benefits Programme. More details will emerge about this in 2017
