Tech Data invests to support transitioning broadcom partners

Tech Data has invested to provide extensive technical and business development support to Broadcom reseller partners and their customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The announcement follows Tech Data’s appointment by Broadcom as a Global Commercial Aggregator for the full range of Symantec security solutions. To support this, Tech Data has already put in place dedicated pre-sales, post-sales technical, business development and account management staff in the UK and Ireland. In addition, a well-resourced and specialist central team is ready to provide a 24/7 help-desk support on the full Symantec range – all of which is available both to resellers and to their end-user customers.

In addition, Tech Data’s security practice is also offering a Security Health Check service, which channel partners can use to ensure their customers’ software and licencing are up to date. In March, Tech Data is launching its Symantec Software Store – a dedicated online resource that makes it quick and easy for partners to identify the right solutions and licence options for their customers, quickly build professional quotations, and keep tabs on renewal dates for software licenses, ensuring they never miss an opportunity for repeat business.

Tech Data’s Broadcom team will also assist partners on every facet of business development for Symantec security solutions, and help them get fully up to speed on all the support and resources available to them from the vendor.

Alison Nixon, Business Unit Director – Security, Tech Data, UK and Ireland, said: “Tech Data is making a solid commitment to supporting and driving business with Broadcom partners. By providing access to the specialist capabilities and resources that we have within the Tech Data security practice, we will help them maximise opportunities and provide continuity, consistency, and the highest levels of service and support to their end-user customers. This is exactly the right time for us to be investing in the Broadcom channel. Sales of Symantec solutions have remained strong, and we are now ready to build on the added stability that Broadcom provides to deliver more value and growth potential to partners.”
