Synaxon to run virtual version of its SynMSP Community Meeting

Channel services group SYNAXON UK has announced that it will run a virtual version of its scheduled half-yearly SynMSP Community Meeting next week.

The event was planned to taken place at Wolverhampton Racecourse, but due to the Coronavirus crisis, it will now take place online, starting at 10.00am on Tuesday 21st April 2020.

After MSP members urged the group to continue with the gathering online, the SYNAXON UK team looked at different options and is now staging the entire event using Zoom Business. Up to 80 current SynMSP members are expected to take part.

Mike Barron, managing director of SYNAXON UK, said that the response from members has been extremely positive. “We have been overwhelmed with the support and community spirit of our members. We had originally looked at postponing or cancelling the meeting, but our members have made it clear that they want it to go ahead as a virtual event. We’ve had a brilliant response and I think everyone is really looking forward to the day.

“Events like this take on particular significance at times like these, when we are all facing a whole new set of challenges. Our members have come to us and asked for it to run it online and I think that shows the huge value they see in what has become an extraordinarily strong and supportive community. We are very much, all in this together.”

SYNAXON UK is using the hashtag #youarenotalone for all communications and social media posts related to the event.

The virtual meeting will enable SynMSP members to share updates, exchange ideas and views on the current situation and share best practice. There will be a panel debate amongst members of the SynMSP Advisory Board, and an opportunity to engage and interact with key vendors on how they are helping and supporting MSP partners to maintain the stability and long-term viability of their businesses.

Subjects to be covered include:

  • How do you keep enough cash flow coming into the business?
  • How do you access government support in real terms – loans, grants, rate breaks, furlough fund etc.
  • How are you keeping your teams connected, motivated, supported – looking after their health and safety, wellbeing?
  • How do you manage customer expectation and plan for sustainability?
  • What are your vendor partners doing right now to support you?

Attendees will have ample opportunity to ask questions, open points of discussion and exchange views with their peers. Vendors supporting the event include Connectwise, CyberSmart, and Data2vault, with others to be confirmed.

Tirene Doepel, who was recently appointed as head of marketing for SYNAXON UK, will be hosting the event. She stated: “We’re excited about running the MSP meeting virtually and we want to encourage all our current and prospective members to bring their questions and to share their insights and experiences with the whole community. It promises to be a really valuable event for everyone.”

The virtual meeting is scheduled to start at 10.00am and conclude with an open Q&A session, with an estimated finish time of 1.00pm.

Current members or businesses interested in becoming part of the SYNAXON UK SynMSP community, can register for the meeting at https://synaxon.co.uk/synmsp-online-community-meeting.
