Reseller advise team to go live again this month

Sony relaunches dealer support service

Sony has announced that they will be reintroducing their dealer support programme this month. The scheme, originally set up ten years ago, will provide resellers with instore training and merchandising activity.

"We want to ensure that the consumer receives the best experience of Sony products, wherever they choose to shop," said Andy Benson, commercial director for Sony.

"The Dealer Support Team provides a vital service, ensuring that we have an effective method to communicate new product and promotional launches where it really matters – on the shop floor."

Mark Whiteman, retail training manager, will be in charge of putting together the new team.

"In total, we are doubling the size of the team, so the majority of the stores that we visit will get a longer call," he said.

"As well as delivering a training presentation every visit, the team will also be checking that staff are up to speed with all the latest promotions, fulfilling POS requirements and providing a valuable feedback route from the shop floor to Sony HQ."
