IT infrastructure provider Softcat has successfully landed a place as a supplier for the Network Services 2 framework (RM3808). Created by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) on behalf of the UK public sector, the framework will deliver networking, local area connectivity, data access, conferencing, telephony and unified communications services for all public sector organisations.
The framework opens the door for the public sector to modernise mobile, radio, email and call centre services, heighten security and data protection, and drastically improve communication networks. It will provide UK public sector customers, including the Central government, local authorities, NHS and charities, with a new, compliant and refreshed route to market replacing the out-going Network Services (RM1045) framework.
The framework, which should be available for the next four years, offers public sector customers a range of suppliers who have been rigorously tested in capabilities, competencies and business processes.
“This framework works well to strengthen our existing framework portfolio. Providing a strong route to market for networking-related technology, that Softcat and our partners perform particularly well in,” said Anthony Cowen, Softcat’s public sector director.
Andy Bruen, Softcat’s strategic relationship manager, added: “This framework will enable our teams to bring Softcat’s much loved customer approach; to a technology area that we’ve historically excelled in.”
