YouTube to host live coverage of the London Olympics across Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa

International Olympic Committee’s YouTube channel will offer over 2,200 hours of coverage.

Google has announce today that Olympic fans from across 64 territories in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa will be able to watch the Games live on the IOC’s YouTube channel.

The International Olympic Committee’s YouTube channel will offer over 2,200 hours of high-definition sporting event coverage from London 2012, including all the medal finals.

The IOC channel will have ten HD live-feeds from the Games, running from 9am to 11pm London time. Fans from countries including India, Malaysia, Singapore, Kenya, and Uganda, will be able to tune in to the YouTube channel on desktops, tablets and mobile devices, all free-of-charge.

The Olympics Opening Ceremony will take place on July 27th, but those who miss this and any of the sporting events, will be able to view a series of highlight reels throughout and after the Games.

For those who can’t wait, the IOC YouTube channel currently features a series of iconic Olympic clips.
