Lenovo ThinkPad 2 set for October 26th release

Lenovo reps have revealed that the ThinkPad 2 will be available from October 26th and will cost $799.

The ThinkPad 2 has a 10.1-inch IPS display, Intel Atom processor, optional keyboard and 10-hour battery life.

Riot breaks out in Foxconn factory

On Sunday, around 2,000 workers at Foxconn’s Taiyuan plant in China started a riot. Early reports suggested that the riot was triggered by a security guard hitting a worker. But a later statement by a Foxconn spokesperson claimed that the fight broke out amongst workers from different production lines.

CEO Dick Costolo reveals new plans for Twitter

Twitter’s CEO Dick Costolo has revealed a few new features being added to the social networking site, including the option to curate messages, and interactive features such as polls during live events.

Microsoft sets Guinness World Record for largest ever app development marathon

Microsoft hosted the world’s largest coding marathon this weekend, with 2,567 programmers and designers taking part in the 18-hour app development session.

The event set a new Guinness World Record and saw the creation of Windows 8 apps across 20 categories, including Business, Education, Games, Music & Video, Finance, Sport, Productivity and Social.
