A new strain of malware has been sending emails to Facebook users, encouraging them to view photos as an attachment.

Identified by security firm Sohpos as Troj/Agent-XNN, the malware downloads a ZIP file once the infected link is clicked.

The ZIP file enables hackers to gain control over Windows-operated PCs.

The subject line of the email reads 'Your friend added a new photo with you to the album', Facebook notifications always state which friends have tagged you in photographs.
