Tablet users can get hands-on with Wacom’s full range at new retail outlet

Wacom opens first UK Experience Centre in response to customer demand

Tablet manufacturer Wacom has partnered with Square Group to open its first Experience Centre in the UK.

The store, located in High Wycombe, is a one-stop solution centre for everything Wacom.

“The store is in response to people asking where they can get Wacom, where they can actually see it, try it out and get the right advice,” Jeremy Curtis, area manager for UK and Ireland, told PCR.

Curtis explained that an Experience Store offers a much broader assortment than a retail store, with its staff making a big difference: “Specially trained staff understand the graphic market needs and the other areas where products might be used.”

The centre has a full range of Wacom products on display, including the recently launched Cintiq Companion, which Curits likens to a “super iPad”, but stresses that unlike the iPad, due to price and specs, the device is aimed at professionals.

Wacom also caters to amateurs and has released a new range of entry-level products, including a new Bamboo trackpad designed for Windows 8 users.
