Vodaphone has launched the Vodafone Mobile WiFi R201 which allows multiple devices to connect wireless to a Vodafone 3G Internet connection.
The diminutive R201 weighs only 90g and supports the highest speed standards of GSM and HSDPA up to 7.2Mbps. Armed with a rechargable lithium battery and a display showing status of 3G signal and battery life, users can connect to the device via USB or WiFi to gain an Internet connection on the move.
The MiFi also has an SD slot to provide shared data storage, supporting cards of up to 32GB and the battery is said to be good for four hours of operation.
The company provides the unit without initial charge on an 18-month contract at £25 per month which also provides a 5GB monthly data allowance.
