ISP to offer products and services in new retail stores

Virgin partners with Best Buy

Virgin Media has signed a deal that will allow it to provide Best Buy customers with in-store interactive demonstrations of its products and internet services.

The deal will see the ISP demonstrating its high-speed 50Mb fibre optic broadband service, its TV on-demand service and its V+ HD boxes, which can pause, rewind and record live TV, as well as a range of pre-pay mobile and landline phones.

Virgin will also be aiding Best Buy in its efforts to bring a better retail experience to UK consumers by sponsoring the Ultimate Games Experience Room at Best Buy’s Thurrock store. This will feature the latest HD TV home theatre equipment hooked up to the Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox 360, Playstation 34 and PC equipment. The aim is to showcase the latest games at their full potential.

“We’re passionate about bringing new technology and our products to life. Best Buy’s mould-breaking stores will provide a perfect environment in which to do this,” said Virgin Media’s executive director of consumer sales, Peter Taddeo.

“Virgin Media’s products and services will feature across the store, giving customers the chance to try before they buy and to get a real idea of the high quality and range of experiences that we can offer.”
