This morning Acer premiered a new commercial for its S7 ultrabook, featuring Megan Fox expressing her love of marine biology.
Attendees of the press event at London’s Science Museum also got to see a behind the scenes film in which the actress insists that she in genuinely interested in marine biology and would love to work ‘out in the field’.
The advert depicts Fox using the Acer Aspire S7 to communicate with dolphins aided by a team of scientists using the ultrabook to conduct experiments.
Acer isn't suggesting that you can actually talk to dolphins if you buy an S7 ultrabook (although that would be an awesome selling point), but the idea behind the adverts are to inspire users to 'explore beyond limits'.
The S7 comes in 13.3-inch and 11.6-inch screen sizes and features an Intel core i5 or i7 processor, depending on whether it’s the 126GB or 256GB model.
This advert follows a previous S7 one featuring Kiefer Sutherland parodying his Jack Bauer character who is using the ultrabook to set up his own cupcake company.
Apart from the advertising campaign, the press event focused on the whole of Acer’s new Windows 8 range, with Acer president Jim Wong explaining that all the products in the range have touch capabilities “in order to introduce a new way of interaction.”
