Vendor says 'Hasta la Via' to its focus on chipsets as it goes after the green market

VIA to refocus on CPUs

Via Technology has said that it expects to generate around 70 per cent of its total revenues in 2008 from its CPU business, according to Chinese-language Economic Daily News.

The figure is part of the vendor’s shift in its business models towards focusing on the low-cost, green CPUs market.

Via recently saw a boost in demand thanks to the success of its Green gPCs in Wal-Mart.
