Co-founder of legendary PC game developer Valve, Gabe Newell, has said come out in support of the PC gaming platform in a recent interview appearing in PC Gamer magazine.
Newell said that PCs were "great value for money" and drew attention to the wide variety of PCs available, adding that "economies of scale are tremendous".
The individuality of PCs meant that gamers could "have the one that they like rather than the one that someone else has defined for them," he said.
Valve recently launched free downloadable content for the firm’s hit Portal 2 puzzler, also reducing the game to half price temporarily in a mid-week sale.
