UbiSoft reveals For Honor, a ‘new genre’ PC and console multiplayer game at E3 2015

UbiSoft used its E3 2015 press conference to lift the lid on New Honor, a multiplayer game for PC and consoles that it describes as the first of a ‘new genre’.

The game sees 1-4 players battle in out in a melee style as a knight, viking or samurai.

Assassin’s Creed developer Ubisoft Montreal is putting together the title, which had been stuck at the ‘idea’ stage for 10 years before getting the green light.

Other key anouncements from the UbiSoft press conference were:

  • The publisher confirmed that Rainbow Six Siege will be available as a beta on September 24th ahead of a full release on October 13th.
  • A sequel to last year’s South Park The Stick of Truth is on the way for PS4, Xbox One and PC – The Fractured but Whole is set for a 2016 release.
  • Hitherto PC-only racing brand Trackmania is making the leap to console as Trackmania Turbo.
  • Tom Clancy: Ghost Recon Wildlands was revealed as a four player co-op open world game in development with UbiSoft Paris.

We’ll be rounding up all the PC-related news from the big E3 press conferences here on PCR throughout the week!
