Trio of PC game releases dominate sales chart

Following release last Friday, three new PC games from Sega, THQ and Ubisoft have debuted at the top of the PC games sales chart.

GfK ChartTrack PC entertainment chart for last week showed that showed Shogun 2: Total War by Creative Assembly and published by Sega has debuted at as top selling PC game, knocking controversial Dragon Age II off the top position.

Homefront from Kaos Studios, published by THQ, debuted in second place, displacing perennial favorite Football Manager 2011. 

Finally Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood knocked Trift into sixth place.

Hard-core strategy game Shogun 2: Total War in top selling position appears to point to continued strong demand for PC-focused gameplay, helped no doubt by the universal acclaim the game has received from critics and gamers alike.

Riding high with a Metacritic rating of 90%, GameSpot said Shogun 2: Total was "artistic, formidable, and action packed, this remarkable strategy game is the best Total War yet."
