Trend Micro revamps partner programme

The firm aims to simplify the mechanics of the channel.

Trend Micro has enhanced its EMEA channel partner programme, which is designed to offer increased value and long-term sustained relationships for its partners.

The firm says the Affinity Partner Program will greatly improve and simplify the mechanics of the channel, including the distribution of leads, registration of opportunities plus give access to a host of sales and marketing solutions.

The programme also includes offline training, access to support resources and personalised communications tailored to suit individual needs.

“From day one, the foundation of our business has been the two tier channel model,” said Anthony O’Mara, VP of sales and operations EMEA. “Building on the success and momentum created by the previous programme, we’re continuing to address the distinct needs of our loyal base of security VARs whilst scaling to support the many thousands of Smaller Resellers so crucial to the expansion of our SMB business. The Affinity Partner Programme will also provide the flexibility and customisation necessary to support our Solution VARs and Systems Integrators”.

“Over the last two years, as we’ve developed new solutions for each customer segment, we’ve had to adapt our channel model accordingly,” he continued. “For our Worry Free solution, we’ve recruited in the region of 10,000 partners across EMEA. Through our partnership with Cisco and their distributors we’ve been helping networking/solution VARs to develop new security businesses. The Affinity Partner Program will help us to serve these partners’ diverse needs and interests in a way that better suits their business goals.”
