TP-Link’s smart home range launches in 34 UK EE stores

TP-Link has announced that its range of smart home products will appear in 34 EE stores across the UK, with plans to roll out to more stores later in the year.

The range includes the HS1000 Smart Plug, LB130 Colour Bulb and LB110 Dimmable Bulb.

With a 21.6% year-on year growth in smart home products bought by UK consumers, introducing a smart home range is a natural step for many high street retailers to take.

Reports show that global purchases in smart home products reached $284.8 billion by the end of 2017, and are expected to hit a global spend of $53.45 billion by 2022.

UK Country Manager of TP-Link, Will Liu, said: “There is a natural connection between TP-Link and EE, as we are both players in networking and connectivity. This partnership with EE is a highly strategic one for TP-Link because although high-street retail is diminishing, smart home is entering the mass adoption era and is a high-growth sector, which makes networking stores like EE want a piece of it.

“With ambitious aims, TP-Link will continue to be the brand of choice for smart home and a key player in mass market adoption of smart home.”
