Signs deal with Green Man Gaming; app allows gamers to play PC titles on a Windows 8 tablet

TouchFox brings touch controls to PC games

Green Man Gaming has announced that it will offer the PC/tablet gaming app TouchFox as part of a new deal.

The digital games etailer has partnered with social media and gaming integration platform Overwolf, which developed and powers the app.

TouchFox allows PC gamers to play fully-fledged PC games on their Windows 8 tablet.

The app adds on-screen touch controls so users can play without the need for a mouse and keyboard. Each custom virtual controller costs £2.39, and changes visual style according to each title.

Games currently supported by the app include:

  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
  • Borderlands 2
  • The Witcher 2
  • Crysis 2
  • DC Universe Online
  • Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
  • Castle Crashers
  • Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
  • Magika
  • F.E.A.R 3

"Remember the Windows 8 device you bought and didn’t know why? We have the answer – it’s for gaming, and we are thrilled that Green Man Gaming are now offering this to millions of core gamers from around the world," said Uri Marchand, CEO at Overwolf.

"We’re seeing a huge resurgence in PC and tablet gaming that is changing the way people play games. TouchFox lets you play your favourite PC games on the go, wherever life takes you, and yes, that is very cool."

"We know that the majority of our customers game for over a whopping 10 hours a week," added Paul Sulyok, CEO at Green Man Gaming.

"As an official TouchFox retail partner, we are yet again extending our consumer offer and making PC gaming more accessible."
