Some of the most innovative new tech products were showcased at Distree EMEA 2015 this week - here's a pick of the bunch.
Vendors got the chance to present their products to some of the most influential members from the channel this week at Distree as part of a 'Fresh' showcase. The session was hosted by business development firm The SightLine Group's Fred Brown.
New products included Plastc, which is one single payment card that aims to replace all of a consumer's bank/loyalty cards. It can also let you know via a smartphone app if you've left the card behind somewhere.
Then there's the Kito health tracker, the EyeSight Singlecue remote wireless controller that is controlled via gestures to communicate with smart home devices, for example swiping your arm to change the TV channel etc, and the Prynt, which connects to a smartphone and acts as a physical photograph printer.
“Powered by our machine vision and gesture recognition technology, Singlecue is transforming the way users interact with the devices in their home,” said Gideon Shmuel, CEO of EyeSight. “After a successful launch, we’re honored that singlecue continues to be recognised as a truly innovative technology and we’re excited to bring gesture control and the Internet of Things to households across the world.”
Elsewhere, the Rocki device (pictured) lets you stream from Spotify and Deezer using your smartphone to play the music through any set of speakers.
Prizm, a learning music player was also showcased, which is also funded on Kickstarter. The speaker remembers a users habits and learns which genres are preferred at certain times of the day. Plus, users can stream music straight from the cloud and sync the device via Bluetooth technology.
For every set of sleek wooden-style LSTN headphones sold, a hearing aid is given to one deaf child.
