EA's life simulation game heads straight to number one

The Sims 4 becomes first PC game to top UK’s All Format chart in two years

The Sims 4 has become the first PC-only game to top the UK All Formats boxed game chart since Guild Wars 2 managed to just over two years ago.

The EA computer game went straight to number one after going on sale last week, placing it ahead of console titles such as Watch Dogs, Metro Redux, The Last Of Us: Remastered and Diablo III Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition.

It is also number one in the UK boxed PC game chart of course, ahead of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls and Diablo III at number two and number three respectively.

EA said The Sims 4’s marketing campaign is the ‘most sophisticated digital campaign ever’.
