Tech Data has announced the appointment of Helen Harwood as the firm’s new pricing and programme manager.
Harwood will be responsible for keeping the distributor’s public sector pricing details up-to-date and available to resellers targeting the education, healthcare, local government, blue-light and NGO sectors.
With over 12 years experience working on both public and commercial businesses, she has worked at Tech Data since 2011 as the company’s project manager and is a PRINCE2-qualified professional project manager.
Harwood said: “Tech Data is very committed to driving public sector business for partners and it is vitally important that we keep our customers informed and up-to-date on the very latest offers and pricing, so that they can be certain they have the most competitive bid available.
“I have already worked on a number of projects in the sector and I’m looking forward to working with our partners and supporting their efforts to win business.”
The firm says the appointment is a sign of Tech Data’s ongoing commitment to supporting partners in driving public sector business.
Tech Data also maintains a list of pre-approved public sector deals and framework pricing that is available from its vendor partners.
This news comes after the distributor unveiled its Google Chrome-dedicated website for resellers.
The website will provide information and sales support for customers.
