Tech Data has announced the promotion of Andrew Brown as the firm’s cloud sales leader for the UK and Ireland.
Brown previously spent five years working as the distributor’s technical practice manager for the IBM hardware team.
He brings over 15 years of experience working with sales teams in distribution and reseller organisations to help develop account plans and maximise business.
In his new role, Brown will focus on the deployment of Tech Data’s cloud strategy and driving partner recruitment and engagement with the company’s TDCloud programme.
Brown said: “This is an exciting time to be joining the Tech Data Cloud team.

In other Tech Data news, the distributor is welcoming the Moto G smartphone family to its portfolio.
Resellers are able to order the range from Tech Data Mobile with immediate effect.
In addition, resellers can also order the Moto X Play smartphone, which features full 1080p HD resolution, a 5.5-inch screen and a 21MP camera.
