Distributor Tech Data has added more than 3,000 PC games to its electronic software distribution (ESD) service.
This allows retailers to offer the games to their customers in-store at point of sale or via their websites.
The games – from some 200 publishers including 2K Games, Activision, Rockstar Games, SEGA, Square Enix, THQ and Ubisoft – are being offered by Tech Data through a distribution agreement with Nexway, a provider of digital commerce service solutions for games, apps and software publishers.
The system includes up-to-date marketing information for all digital titles (including running publisher promotions such as game pre-orders, recommended up-sells and cross-sells, latest visuals and more).
TD Activate-here also offers a range of software downloads for retailers to sell with PCs and tablets.
"The addition of popular PC gaming titles from top publishers adds a new dimension to TD Activate-here, making it a viable one-stop shop for retailers that want to offer a wide range of software packages to customers in store and at the point of sale," said Tech Data in a statement.
