Distributor Target Components is conducting a 'major review' of its vendor partners and may drop one or two.

The news comes as it signs an agreement with memory specialist, PSU and accessory vendor GeIL to become its exclusive UK distributor. This follows the recent appointments of KFA2, Antec and Aerocool.

“We’re in the middle of a major review of our vendor partners”, said Target’s MD Paul Cubbage. “We only work with vendors who are genuinely excited about supporting independent resellers and can create real opportunities for our customers.

"We have more appointments due in the next couple of months but, as with any shake-up, we may be parting company with one or two that don’t share our customer-focused vision.”

Target’s purchasing manager Kelly Coxon added: “GeIL is a globally recognised brand that has gained a dedicated following and fantastic reviews, particularly in the US.

"As high-end gaming memory has come into greater demand in the UK in recent years, we’re sure GeIL’s reputation and high-quality product range will ensure its success here. We are looking forward to introducing the new EpicGear gaming peripherals to the UK too, particularly as high-end gaming accessories are in such high demand with professional gamers the world over.”
