Synology announces new UK MD

NAS vendor Synology has confirmed the appointment of Yi-Lin Huang as its new managing director for the UK, Ireland and Nordic region.

Huang joins Synology UK today and takes over from former UK MD Mike Chen, who has been working in the UK for three years, and is now moving back to Synology’s Taiwan head office to work on new challenges.

He brings with him in-depth knowledge of Synology NAS devices and the DiskStation Manager (DSM) operating system. Huang’s plans include developing the technical support team and to continuing a steady sales growth in the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries.

“We have had good sales and marketing momentum in the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries for the past 3 years,” said Huang.

“We will continue to expand the business channels and provide our customers and partners with the best support possible.”
