Synaxon Member Profile: The Personal Computer Clinic

A Shropshire-based computer firm is looking forward to expanding its horizons – thanks to a partnership with Synaxon’s new TrustATec marketing service.

The Personal Computer Clinic, currently based outside Shrewsbury, offers IT solutions to private customers and business owners. Services include PC, laptop and tablet sales, a repairs and maintenance service and network solutions, as well as a range of IT stock and supplies available in the retail premises.

“At the Personal Computer Clinic we offer a personal service and provide the customer with what meets their needs. We go out of our way to offer a reliable, efficient and friendly service," said owner Keith Williams.

“TrustATec will provide us with a platform to build our repairs and support side.

"Having a central database of repair shops will give the customer the comfort of knowing that they are being looked after by a reliable company and at an agreed price."

Keith says in recent years the biggest growth area in his business has been in security and backup.

“As a reseller of AVG Cloudcare that offers a full internet security system and online backups, we are finding that more customers are realising the importance of backing-up their treasured photos and documents. Unfortunately there are still people who learn the hard way,” he said.

The Personal Computer Clinic has been running for more than 20 years and has responded to many changes and advances in IT. Today, Keith is managing the role of social media in his business.

“Today’s society is ever evolving and social media has become the ‘norm’ for communicating,” he added.

“People respond more and more to ‘word of mouth’ recommendations they read online, so we ensure our customers have 100 per cent satisfaction with their goods and service. Getting the right message and image out there has never been more important."

The company will be moving to new premises in Shrewsbury Town Centre in the New Year, and is looking to develop and expand further.
