Surface Pro 2 firmware update released to fix December glitches

Microsoft has resumed the roll out of its latest firmware update for the Surface Pro 2 tablet after halting it in December when users reported a number of bugs.

In December, users took to Microsoft’s support pages to complain that the update caused battery-charging issues, problems with putting the device to sleep or shutting it down, and simply failing to install correctly.

The new update is currently only available to those machines that were updated in December.

A software update for the original Surface Pro has also been released, which introduces improved support for Touch and Type Cover 2 accessories.
