Vice president and managing director to head up vendor's Korean business from July

Stephen Gill to leave HP UK

HP has confirmed that UK and Ireland vice president and managing director Stephen Gill will leave at the end of June.

Gill joined the vendor in 2002 during its merger with Compaq, but after seven years is heading to Korea to head up HP’s business there, according to Microscope.

"We can confirm that HP has announced the appointment of Stephen Gill as managing director and vice president for HP South Korea, with effect July 1st 2009," a spokeswoman for the vendor told the magazine.

"In his new role, Gill will lead the HP Korean management team and drive the continued growth of HP’s enterprise team."

No UK replacement has been named.
