1-sean-mcsweeney-startech-interview.jpg UK country manager Sean McSweeney says traditional components offer better margin-making opportunities than tablets and PCs.

He told PCR: "Because our products are more specialised they usually have much higher margins than computers or peripherals.

" adapters and cables are critical add-ons that ensure resellers provide their customers with the right products while making their sales more profitable."

The manufacturer previously told PCR it is seeing a 'huge demand' for AV adapters.

"Some of our biggest selling products right now are AV adapters," he said. "There’s a huge demand for them since many of the new Ultrabooks and Macbooks no longer have integrated HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA or Ethernet ports. Many peripherals such as displays and projectors need this connectivity so an adapter is required."
