Sony has announced two new mid-range Android smartphones, the Xperia E1 and Xperia T2 Ultra.

Both devices will come in single SIM and dual-SIM variants.

The Xperia E1 features a 4-inch WVGA 480x800 display, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8210 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB inbuilt storage, 1,700mAh battery and 3G connectivity support.

It also has a loudspeaker on the back of the device which is capable of hitting 100dB.

The Xperia T2 Ultra is a 6-inch ‘phablet’ with a 1280x720 display. It has a 13MP Exmor RS rear camera and a 1.1MP Exmor R front camera.

Other specs include a quad-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a 3,000mAh battery.

The Xperia T2 Ulta and the E1 will both be available in black, white and purple.

At the moment Sony hasn’t released pricing or release dates for either device.

Sony launched two other smartphones in the Xperia range at last week's CES – the Xperia Z1 Compact, which features the same specs at the flagship but packed into a 4.3-inch device, and the Xperia Z1S, a device with a higher IP58 waterproof rating so it can be submerged in water for a longer amount of time.
