PSP/PS3 interface to make jump to new FW laptop

Sony to rollout Xross UI on Vaio range

Sony is preparing to rollout its Xross user interface which made its debut on the firm’s handheld console, the PSP, on its FW range of Vaio laptops.

The range, which was launched the other day, will be the first time the UI has been used on the firm’s range of computers and it is currently unclear exactly how much it will be used and whether it will act as a layer over Windows Vista.

The Xross media bar UK has appeared on Sony’s PSP, PS3 as well as some models from its Bravia flat screen television range.
