IFA 2010: Vendor gives demonstrates possibilities of internet powered television

Sony shows off Google TV platform

Alongside a cornucopia of new tech gizmos, Sony is showing off its HD TV powered by Google TV – claiming to be the first manufacturer to incorporate the platform.

Google TV allows users to browse the web as you would on the computer, alongside the normal functions of a TV through multiple windows.

A series of customised apps, an evolving library of content

The Sony devices are Intel chip powered, which will purportedly give them the power to stream and load videos seamlessly. The fist models are expected later this year.
