Smithie UK has entered into a partnership with Panasonic to distribute its range of LED lights.
Panasonic’s Eco Solutions Company expanded the scope of its business to include lighting products, information equipment and building products to offer comfort and eco-friendliness.
“Smithie UK enjoys a strong market presence and an unrivalled reputation for quality products and excellent customer service," said Smithie UK MD Shane Hilden.
"The partnership with Panasonic will enable us to add another tier 1 brand to our existing portfolio, which we know will be of benefit to our customers."
Joe Pugh, Manager at Panasonic LED Lighting and Energy Solutions, commented: "When we decided to bring LED lighting to the UK it was important for us to find a partner who understood the market. After much consideration we decided to select Smithie UK as our UK distributor.
"It has an excellent understanding of LED lighting as a commercial and technical proposition and importantly can provide value add to the sales process and national projects. I believe that Smithie UK has an ethical and straightforward approach to business and as such I believe that Panasonic and Smithie UK have a strong future together in the LED lighting business.”
Panasonic products will be available from Smithie UK’s LED division from spring 2014.
