F-Secure launches Younited for Business to help SMBs move into the cloud

Security Roundup: Hackers steal Google account passwords

In this week’s Security Roundup we take a look at hacked Google passwords, Bitdefender’s Adware Removal tool and F-Secure’s Younited for Business.

Bitdefender has warned that hackers have been stealing Google account passwords, in a ‘new and better crafted’ phishing attack.

Chief Security Strategist, Catalin Cosoi, stated: “With access to users’ Google accounts, hackers can buy apps on Google Play, hijack Google+ accounts and access confidential Google Drive documents.”

Bitdefender has also released a free Adware Removal tool for Mac, designed to remove aggressive adware such as Genieo that can alter users’ search results, inject ads and monitor websites visited.

Meanwhile, F-Secure has launched Younited for Business, which helps small and medium sized businesses realize the benefits of the cloud while keeping their data safe.

“Businesses worry about putting critical information and company secrets in the hands of another company,” says Timo Laaksonen, vice president of content cloud at F-Secure.

“Is that company’s software vulnerable? Do they have proper privacy practices in place? Are there back doors? Younited for Business offers rock-solid security and encryption in a European cloud away from prying eyes, hosted by a Finnish company with over 25 years of security expertise.”
