Samsung has announced a press event for February 24th where is it expected to unveil its latest flagship smartphone.
The ‘Unpacked 5’ event takes place on the first day of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The event starts at 8pm CET (7pm GMT), and will also be livestreamed at youtube.com/samsungmobile.
Samsung has never really been subtle when it comes to new product hints. Last year’s Unpacked event had the tag line ‘ready 4 the show’. Not surprisingly, the Galaxy S4 was unveiled.
So, it seems highly likely that ‘Unpacked 5’ will showcase the firm’s next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5.
Many expected that the S5 would debut at CES 2014, but as the show got underway, Samsung confirmed that a new smartphone would launch at MWC instead.
Feature rumours for the S5 include the ability to scan the user’s eye to unlock the phone, and a 4K display.
