Electronics brand Samsung has revealed it's the brand sponsor for Robbie Williams' newly launched Take the Crown campaign.

The partnership has become official today as Robbie Williams is set to announce a series of live dates at London's O2 Arena later this year.

Samsung has partnered with stars from the music industry before - notably it sponsored the Take That Progress Live tour in 2011.

This new deal will enable Samsung to offer its customers a range of exclusive content across its products including the Galaxy Note II, such as messages from Robbie, behind-the-scenes footage and key moments from the tour, through a Robbie Williams app.

Samsung will have 'brand integration' into Robbie's appearances at the O2, including venue branding and concert footage streaming, advertising and PR rights, tickets to the shows, signed merchanise and access to his social media fanbase.

Simon Stanford, Vice President, Telecommunications and Networks, Samsung UK and Ireland said: “Samsung is thrilled to be working with Robbie Williams again. We had a great time getting to know him last year during our sponsorship of ‘Progress Live’ so to be able to build on that relationship is fantastic news, not just for us, but for our customers and partners. So many of our customers are music fans, so this is a great opportunity for us to bring what they love straight to them, through exclusive content and access to one of the UK’s most well-known and loved music artists.”

What might we see next? PC World sponsoring Rhianna? Asus sponsoring One Direction? Nvidia sponsoring Will Young? (Forgive us if any of this has actually happened). The possibilities are endless...
