Samsung Electronics UK has inked a deal with specialist memory firm M2M Distribution. The new partnership will focus on the B2B and corporate sector.

Samsung's SSD division recently produced the new 840 series generation of Samsung SSDs, which has been developed into 2 distinct categories to meet customer needs – the 840 Standard and 840 PRO.

Stefanie Sears-Black, Head of Business Development, memory sales and marketing, Samsung, commented: “M2M is the ideal addition to our B2B distribution network and with the industry leading performance and reliability of the 840 PRO series, M2M will be able to provide the necessary distribution and support in what is sure to be a key growth area for Samsung SSDs.”

M2M Distribution will provide necessary support and consultation in B2B and corporate channels where adoption of SSD technology is slowly developing. With over 20 years of experience in the memory and storage market, M2M has been ranging SSDs in their product portfolio for over 5 years.

Charles Hacker, Business Development Director, M2M distribution said: “The 840 PRO offers a unique position in the market catering for imperative assurances required in a professional IT environment. We expect this segment to become a healthy proportion of the UK channel SSD sales in 2013”.

The 840 PRO is complimented by a lengthy 5 year warranty and aimed at the consumer and gamer upgrade market. The drives range from 128GB to 512GB and will be available in a basic box featuring Magician and data migration software only.

The 840 series is widely available at consumer and B2B specialist resellers including PC World, Amazon, Scan, Dabs, Ebuyer, Overclockers, Novatech, Insight, BT Business Direct and PC World Business. The 840 PRO currently retails from around £88 ex VAT.
