Flagship Smartphone backed by ?4 million campaign

Samsung launches Omnia

Samsung has launched its new Omnia Smartphone, in a bid to rival the runaway success of Apple’s iPhone.

Backed by a £4 million advertising campaign, the Omnia will be exclusively available through Orange in a 16 gigabyte version.

The distinctly iPhone-like touch screen Omnia features a five megapixel camera, video recording and editing facilities, FM radio and a Bluetooth headset with the option of buying into features such as GPS and Microsoft Office viewer.

“Samsung Omnia demonstrates our vision for the Samsung mobile business, which is to provide premium phones for users who desire functionality, style, usability and entertainment in one innovative device,” said Samsung’s president Geesung Choi. “The Omnia mobile range will help users to be at the forefront of work and play and at the same time, to stay connected anytime, anywhere.”
