Phablet sells three times faster than predecessor

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 sales hit 3 million

Global sales of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 have passed the three million mark in a little over a month.

One of Samsung’s most successful products to date, the 5.5-inch phablet reached the figure after it was launched in September, just 37 days ago.

The Note 2 is selling faster than its predecessor did, more than three times faster in fact. The original Galaxy Note took almost two months to sell one million units.

The Galaxy Note 2 runs on a Quad core 1.6GHz processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. It also comes with a stylus for note taking.

Back in September, Samsung celebrated its flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S3, reaching 20 million sales in 100 days, making the handset Samsung’s most successful phone yet.
