Samsung announces Galaxy Tab UK launch date

Samsung says the its Android-powered Galaxy Tab will be available in UK stores from November 1st.

The device will be available ‘across all major networks’ and retailers including Carphone Warehouse, Dixons Store Group and T-Mobile.

Samsung hasn’t revealed pricing for the device, however, saying only that it will be available on ‘a range of attractive price packages’.

The vendor last month denied that the tablet had a £799 price tag, despite it being sold as such on Amazon.co.uk.

The much-anticipated device has a 7-inch TFT-LCD display, 3G HSUPA connectivity, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 3.0.

It also supports Adobe Flash Player 10.1, and includes the ‘Readers Hub’ e-reading library, ‘Media Hub’ films and video store and ‘Music Hub’ music library.

The front and rear-facing camera allows for face-to-face video telephony over 3G.
