Record revenues for Foxconn

Vendor reports massive growth following strong shipments of PC and communication products

Foxconn Electronics has revealed that its revenues grew 42.5 per cent in 2007 over the previous year. According to the company's filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange, Foxconn's revenues have reached a record high of £19 billion.

The vendor's revenues of £2.3 billion in December was yet another record for the company, and were up 58.2 per cent over the same month in 2006.

Talking to the Chinese-language Commercial Times, Edmund Ding highlighted strong shipments of PC products and communication devices as the reason for December’s growth.

The paper also claimed that Foxconn is expecting to post after tax profits of £1.3 billion.
