Raspberry Pi has revealed it has just sold its five millionth mini computer.
The firm, well known for its affordable mini PCs, reportedly sold 1.75 million Raspberry Pis as of October 2013.
One of the cheapest models from the company includes the Model A+ priced at £15.51, which was launched last year.
It uses the BCM2835 application processor and has 256MB RAM, and is significantly smaller than its predecessors.
A tweet sent out by the company, read: “Just confirmed the big news we’ve all been waiting for: we’ve now sold more than 5 million Raspberry Pis.”
The latest version is the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B, priced at £22.85. It features a new Cortex A7 processor and runs at 800MHz, plus 1GB RAM is included.
Eben Upton, founder of Raspberry Pi, said the new model is about six times more powerful than the previous Model B+ version for most applications.
